DREDF is seeking examples of problems that Medi–Cal beneficiaries in California have experienced with obtaining non–medical transportation to needed services or treatments covered by Medi–Cal, including Denti–Cal. Please email email@example.com or call 510-644-2555 if your Medi–Cal transportation problem:
- occurred within the last 12 months, or could be ongoing;
- concerns an inability to get the county, a managed care plan, or the CA department of health care services to provide needed transportation;
- being offered or provided inadequate transportation (e.g., you are offered an inaccessible car ride that cannot accommodate your wheelchair or scooter, the service refuses to allow your attendant to accompany you without charge, or the transportation service’s personnel are poorly trained and refuse to offer needed accommodations).
