H. Stephen Kaye

H. Stephen Kaye, Ph.D., is a Professor at the Institute for Health & Aging and the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco. He serves as director and principal investigator of the Community Living Policy Center, a national research center funded by the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research and the Administration for Community Living. Previously, he led the Center for Personal Assistance Services and was co-director of the UCSF Disability Statistics Center. He received a Ph.D. from Stanford University in 1983. His primary research interests focus on community-based long-term services and supports needed by people with disabilities of all ages; measurement of quality, outcomes, and service needs; employment issues among people with disabilities, and use of information and assistive technology.
