DESCRIPTION:Revolutionary love takes many forms\, from intimate love to community care to movements for self-determination. \n  \nJoin CIL and DREDF for an evening centering revolutionary love\, including: \n  \n– A special Bay Area community screening of the film Patrice: The Movie\, a new documentary rom-com all about the next phase of marriage equality: disability.\n– A panel discussion: How Our Struggles are Connected: Marriage Equality\, Protecting Section 504 (the Rehabilitation Act)\, Disability & LGBTQ+ Rights (with a focus on trans rights). \n  \nThis community film screening and panel discussion comes at a pivotal time\, where people with disabilities still do not have marriage equality; where there are renewed threats to marriage equality for LGBTQIA+ people\, and where there are emerging attacks on our trans\, non-binary and genderqueer siblings weaponizing the Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act–the landmark disability rights that prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities. \n  \nAccess: The Ed Roberts Campus is a wheelchair accessible space above Ashby BART. Masks will be required and KN95 masks will be available. Light dinner and movie snacks provided in a separate space from the film screening. Captions and audio descriptions will be provided during the film. ASL interpretation will be provided. \n  \nYou must register in advance for this event: Registration Link
