SUMMARY:Federal Law: How It's Made\, Where to Find it\, How to Understand It & How to Cite It
DESCRIPTION:The Second Trump Administration has been engaged in a large number of executive actions\, many of which are generating lawsuits. The Administration is also making legislative recommendations\, including proposed rescission actions. The scale and nature of these developments are raising many novel legal questions. Against this backdrop\, it is important to be able to find\, understand\, and correctly cite the primary source materials that are being created by the federal executive\, legislative and judicial branches. Many of these materials are available on the Internet without paywalls. This webinar will provide links and tips for locating no-cost documents. It will also put the current Administration in a broader historical context\, comparing and contrasting Trump Administration activities with those of past administrations\, in ways that can help inform legal challenges to Trump Administration activities. Finally\, this webinar will explain how to “decode” legal citations\, giving advocates the tools to accurately and efficiently analyze various types of federal legal materials. \n  \n*MCLE: 1 General Credit \n  \nYou must register in advance for this event: Registration Link
