DESCRIPTION:Join DREDF\, in partnership with the Center for Independent Living (CIL)\, for an evening of conversation and connection with author\, Dara Baldwin\, about her journey to become a disability activist and policymaker while facing the reality of the erasure of people of color in the disability rights movement. The event will be held Tuesday\, July 28\, from 5 to 8 pm PT at the Ed Roberts Campus and online. \n  \nDara’s book\, To Be a Problem has been described by Dave Zirin\, author of The Kaepernick Effect\, as “… a revolutionary text from a unique perspective all too ignored in our society. In a time when dehumanization is on the march\, to read a book so rooted in our collective humanity is an absolute gift.” \n  \n*ASL and CART (live captions) provided.
