Are you a Blind IHSS Recipient in Alameda, Sacramento, or Santa Clara County? We need your help to test a new way to approve your timesheets without signing paper copies.
The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) is testing a new timesheet system for blind IHSS recipients. The new system will let blind IHSS recipients approve their provider’s timesheets on their own using the telephone. CDSS will test the new timesheet system from May 1, 2015 to July 31, 2015. The new system is called the Telephonic Timesheet Approval System or TTAS.
If you use the new timesheet system, you won’t need to approve your provider’s hours using paper. The new system will not affect your hours or the amount of your provider’s paychecks. It is your choice to use the new timesheet system or keep using paper timesheets. If you do not want to join the new timesheet system now, you can still join after July.
To find out more about the new timesheet system please contact CDSS at Adult Programs Division, 1-800-952-2553. CDSS is also working on making timesheet paper copies available in a larger 18-point font later this year.
