Let’s Talk About the Problem, with Author Dara Baldwin
Join DREDF, in partnership with the Center for Independent Living (CIL), for an evening of conversation and connection with author, Dara Baldwin, about her journey to become a disability activist and policymaker while facing the reality of the erasure of people of color in the disability rights movement. The event will be held Tuesday, July 28, from 5 to 8 pm PT at the Ed Roberts Campus and online.
Dara’s book, To Be a Problem has been described by Dave Zirin, author of The Kaepernick Effect, as “… a revolutionary text from a unique perspective all too ignored in our society. In a time when dehumanization is on the march, to read a book so rooted in our collective humanity is an absolute gift.”
*ASL and CART (live captions) provided. Contact Ally Cline at acline@dredf.org for any accommodations you may need by Tuesday, July 21. Late requests may not be possible to fill. You must register in advance for this event: Registration Link
