Benita Shaw-Ayala

Benita is a single mom of two amazing young men. Her oldest son attends UC San Diego and she has an autistic son in high school. Benita has a BS in Psychology and Ethics.

Benita works at the UC Davis MIND Institute in the Resources Center and is the Founder of the GIFTS Foundation. She serves on the advisory committees for the Sacramento State Council on Developmental Disabilities, Alta Regional Center Self-Determination, UCEDD and the AATF for Sacramento City Unified School District. She is a family advocate and a member of the board for the Supported Life Institute and the Fly Brave Foundation.
