Féchnel has over a decade of experience in data privacy, compliance, and regulatory strategy. Throughout his career, he has led global privacy operations across major technology and healthcare environments, specializing in data protection, risk management, and governance frameworks. He holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School, a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Intellectual Property Law from Santa Clara University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Scranton. He is also a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and completed the Board Leadership Academy Certification at Santa Clara University.
Beyond his legal and technical background, his commitment to advocacy is deeply personal as the father of two neurodivergent children. His lived perspective drives his passion for intersectional advocacy, digital accessibility, and protecting individual civil rights in an increasingly data-driven world.
