Phacelia Cramer is an Arlene Mayerson Summer Intern at DREDF working on litigation. Phacelia earned their B.A. in Political Science from Williams College and is earning their J.D. from UC Law San Francisco. Prior to law school, Phacelia worked extensively recruiting, training, and managing customized in-home care teams for loved ones with 24-hour care needs including their sister and numerous queer and transgender power chair using mentors of theirs. Phacelia also worked in public elementary schools in Portland, Oregon and in Minneapolis, Minnesota as an Autism classroom paraeducator and long-term substitute teacher, respectively. They are passionate about issues impacting the developmentally disabled community, 24-hour care recipients, and domestic workers. Phacelia also loves playing folk music, trail running, and screen printing.
