Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund and The Arc of the United States are working alongside organizations and advocates across the country to protect the freedom of people with disabilities to marry, partner, and form families with those they love. This May 10, 2024 webinar uplifted marriage and relationship barriers disabled people face; pending legislation, including H.R.6640 – Marriage Equality for Disabled Adults Act and S.2767 & H.R.5408 – SSI Savings Penalty Elimination Act of 2023; and personal stories from people directly impacted by these unfair policies.
