On #GivingTuesday, Join DREDF in Claiming Our Disability Power

Giving Tuesday

Olga Miranda, a parent and labor organizer who learned at DREDF with her son and husband how to advocate as a family for education rights, expressed so beautifully the gratitude we feel for everyone who is part of our community:

“I thank you for standing up and speaking up and doing something – if it’s writing a check, speaking up, or going to Sacramento, thank you so much for thinking not just of how we can serve ourselves, but the bigger picture and community we want to build for disability rights.”

For 40 years, DREDF has worked collaboratively to claim cross-disability power for ourselves and our families. We’ll continue to resist any efforts to leverage a time of turbulence to undermine or simply forget disability civil rights, access standards, and commitments to inclusion. Our work is far from finished. Fortunately, none of us is in this fight alone.

DREDF is rooted in the community and thrives because of the community. We hope you’ll consider taking action on #GivingTuesday to safeguard the cross-disability community by supporting DREDF. Be assured that every donation keeps us independent as your advocacy organization.

Every gift of moral and material support means the world to us. Thank you for considering a gift that will fuel DREDF’s advocacy for the disability power we collectively envision.
