There, she coordinated and fielded press, refined the intake process to be more accessible, and uplifted the voices of people with disabilities using video. Her experience within the Protection and Advocacy system monitoring places like jails, prisons, state psychiatric hospitals, foster care facilities, and residential treatment centers has instilled a sense of duty to push for deinstitutionalization, integration, and community-based models of care.

Tina has bipolar I disorder and grew up with an autoimmune disorder. She strongly believes disability is a part of the natural human experience and is motivated to make the world a more just, equitable, and inclusive place.

Tina earned her B.A. in Communication Studies from Seattle University.
