Vikki Davis joined DREDF as a Parent Advocate in 2004, and she is the parent of a child with learning disabilities. She holds a certificate in Parent Advocacy through Plan to Lead Advocacy Training, and a Master’s degree in Organizational Development and Human Resources Management with a focus in social work and education. Ms. Davis co-founded Parents of Children of African Descent, a parent advocacy group that works for equity and educational justice for all students in Berkeley public schools. She is a co–founder of the Cooperative Parent Education Program, providing parents with information and support, and she is one of the original members of the Berkeley Special Education Parent Network. She has been actively involved in the Berkeley and Oakland Unified School Districts and at Fremont High School, and she has worked in management consulting, executive leadership and team development, employee training, and strategic planning.
